Your favourite childhood memories
Time, money or silliness?
I often philosophize but rarely reminisce, especially when it’s about a TV show, sweet or item of clothing. Nor when that memory brings an air of melancholy that leaves you sighing, or for some people, wishing they were back there.
However as part of an exercise to assess my current values, I was asked by TJP to recollect some of my fondest memories from when I was young. Apparently this would then help her build a picture of who I am and what I look for (alongside a few other pieces of information of course).
Casting back my mind
Without actually knowing the whole reason she was asking me, I remained fairly unbiased. My inquisitive mind rapidly browsed through my memory card to see what popped up in terms of great childhood moments.
Slightly pushed towards memories with parents due to an earlier discussion, I was able to apply some search terms and boom, I had two that linked directly, one with my mum and the other with my dad.
Brunch with Mum
Every Saturday my mum would go shopping, and do the weekly shop. She’d get up early enough to beat the crowds, whizzing from aisle to aisle knowing what she needed.
