Year 2019 — The Year of the all out.

A story of rebirth

If you haven’t already read about my 2018, I’ll summarise it for you. Doing as much as possible, not eating properly, only being at home to sleep and missing my goats. It was the year of the all in.

By the start of November, it was clear I had too much on my plate, and took swift and harsh action to resolve this. I had asked myself why the hell I wanted to work London hours in a place that isn’t a London. However all the hard work led to where I found myself in 2019.

What happened

January began in a very different way to the month before. I had time and space to breathe, reflect and relax. Not the best of months for this for sure, but I could get things how I wanted them.

I was involved in a few teaching projects and doing a bit of pro-bono consultancy. From having commitments equating to 12 hours a day, I had reduced this to 4–8 hours a day. A normal Dalmatian workload!

February saw me run the half marathon during the tail-end of the worst winds Split has had in decades. Luckily my swearing was swept away whilst running, and I was happy with my time considering the conditions. It also kicked off the training for the full marathon in 2020.
