The Ring that wanted no Lord

So well-rounded, but ended up in a hot mess.

I woke up with a headache,
Was burnt a thousand times,
Finally I got to rest,
At the bottom of that river.

But then HE came,
I don’t even know his name,
He changes it so often,
He’s here again now.

Okay, he had a pet name for me,
But the way he stared at me,
Caressed me and slipped inside me,
Whenever he felt like it.

I just wanted to be there on the riverbed,
Watching the world go by,
The fish go by,
And time go by.

But I was taken again,
Another power hungry freak,
They go so weird when they put me on,
He finally let me go though.

This most recent guy has been better,
A lot calmer, and more caring,
Sometimes he used me and went west,
But most of the time I’ve just been round his neck.

Not quite sure why we’re inside a volcano,
He’s here and they seem to be fighting…
Now I’m in HIS mouth,
Now we’re falling.
