The sixth of ten hopes and aims
If you haven’t been keeping up with my hopes and aims, jump to my first post in this series entitled Do you treat your body like your car?
The dates are already in the diary and the flights are booked, which means it is time I can write about it.
(There is always that certain fear of complacency that comes about when you share things too early, when your saying something out loud means that thing has actually happened, actually been fulfilled, at least a little.)
It was at the beginning of Covid that I decided it was time to get on the road again a bit more. Not a small country lane either, like a neighbouring country in the EU or a quick jump to Scandinavia, but a proper road. A highway to lands far away where something might shock, might provoke, and will definitely inspire.
I put together a list of countries I wanted to go once the pandemic petered out. Unbeknownst to me a few of those options, are on pause as being options. I wanted to visit some new acquaintances in Kenya or Tanzania, explore the wondrous hikes available in Nepal, top up my Chinese, navigate the Trans-Siberian express in Russia and eat sushi in Japan.
