What I look like when being interviewed.

From poems to novels, and Instagram reels to short movies, I’ve been fairly productive over the past decade. However, there’s a huge difference between creating something and then letting the whole world see and hear it.

It was definitely daunting at first, but now it has become second nature, so much so that you will often find me on AymoLive sharing my poetry without a care in the world.

What I find surprising though is the number of people that tell me they ‘couldn’t do that’. They have this perception that they would be paralysed by fear and then be there, live on screen, frozen. Sure, it happens, and I’ve been in that position recently where a distraction disrupted my flow. Luckily it was about time for the lunch break so I simply called it.

But if you are scared of performing publicly, how can you build confidence?

How old were you when you first had to perform in front of an audience?
