“Okay here we are,
Just cross the border,
Find me on the other side.”

We’re shown the way,
And join the queue,
Then we’ll get back on our ride.

We regroup after,
Now nervous tourists in a foreign country,
Looking for our guide.

It’s been 30 minutes now,
Maybe he’s got lost,
Or just decided to hide.

It’s been an hour now,
Our guide’s not gonna come,
It appears he must have lied.

(In reality, I found him after 2 hours, and after he claimed to not know me, I used by best Cambodian and got him to see sense. No violence was used.)

While I travel, I enjoy writing a bit of poetry, mostly silly stuff, but all to remember the fun I had.

I publish them all on Medium, so check out my other poems here.
