My first attempt

It’s been almost a decade since I was finishing the first (and last) book I wrote.

The writing process itself took up countless hours whilst enjoying the serenity of rice fields in Cambodia, after a day training teachers or creating policies for a socially accountable factory. Other bits were done in the UK, or New Zealand, before that tedious process of proofreading and editing were finalised, under the mentorship of Peculiar Julia of course.

The book itself was inspired by my travels through India, which saw me go on an adventure of my own, have my soul and my nerve broken and then rebuilt over time.

The trip put me in awe and in gratitude of so many things I had in my life, but hadn’t quite realised until then. I was just 23 years old then, and without meaning to go to find myself, it definitely put me on the road to where I am now.

I combined the sights of that trip with popular themes when it came to epic adventures in dystopia. Ideas of pandemics, segregation, euthanasia, control and doctrination. Unfortunately many of which happened after…
