Social enterprises I encountered during my trip

Catching up with Wilson, a social entrepreneur in the making and not listed below, but worth a shoutout!

You decide to take a trip of a lifetime that combines everything you love and part of that is visiting social enterprises right?

Well for me it is, after being fortunate enough last year after a long period without travel, to make it to Nepal, this year I had a mini business boom in Q3 that meant I could plan another one.

I had previously worked with a few organisations from Kenya as part of an innovation fund I was a mentor for, and they were the first reason for choosing to visit.

I had also, for however long I cannot remember, always referenced Sanergy, a social enterprise from Kenya, in most of the presentations I held about social enterprise. Even though I didn’t plan to see them this time, I was pretty sure impact driven businesses would be easy to find. I wasn’t wrong.

Nai Nami

Downtown. Where the streets can talk.

I was due to land in Nairobi at 4am, spend an evening there before heading out west to Kisumu. So what else are you going to do when you have a day in a city, other than a walking tour?
