Here’s what I learnt

Business had bounced back after Covid and money issues were eased thanks to a long term contract. It was the middle of September and I had started to think about the next year.

I wanted to shift back into my company fully (the long term but part time contract was elsewhere) and, as is good practice, I started reaching out to people I usually worked with to see what opportunities were coming up the year after.

The unexpected came. Two very intriguing offers, one as an employee and one as a partner.

Back story

Earlier on in the year, with Covid waves coming and going, a few of my fellow entrepreneurs were discussing the opportunities to dip into another business or take on a contract. With remote work offers being advertised all over, we discussed how taking on such a role could help replenish some empty reserves due to us digging deep in the lean times.

Being my own boss, I had also joked that I should actually take an office job to remind myself why I enjoy making my own income and routine, despite the less savoury elements that come with it.

Back to the offers

I had a list of ten people to talk to, but after just three, I had two offers to mull over.
