Why some got so excited at Musk’s “outburst”
It popped up on my news feed, then on my socials, and then I had a few people comment further on what happened. People from different countries, ages, backgrounds. Those three words rippled far.
But the power behind the words actually comes from that man himself, who has caused markets to plummet or soar, stocks to do the same, and people to think a whole range of things about him.
I have to admit, I sniggered a little bit, because I do like a David and Goliath story. Yet this is Goliath and Goliath, which has added something new in this ongoing battle of X, Elon Musk and what seems to be the rest of the world. Well that’s how one side frames it, but funnily enough it isn’t the Musk side.
So in absence of a slingshot, why did this stone burst through barriers, skim across seas and send ripples rasping worldwide?
Government fear
I left the UK at a fairly young age when it comes to personal and business life. There is a lot going on there to do with bribery, embezzlement and nepotism, across the whole political spectrum. However I never felt at risk there, I never felt oppressed or that they would want to destroy me for any reason.
