New Zealand — Silly poems for your backpack

You park your car,
And start to walk,
It wasn’t so far before.

But the glacier has retreated,
Quite a few miles,
And will continue to even more.

It’s the best reminder,
Of the earth’s changing climate,
That many people can see.

So why oh why,
Do we continue without thinking,
To destroy our homes, land and sea.

While I travel, I enjoy writing a bit of poetry, mostly silly stuff, but all to remember the fun I had.

I publish them all on Medium, so check out my other poems here.
