Minime

I’ve lived a life of fairly few possessions. In my twenties, I flitted around from place to place, with a backpack or two, making sure that each stop, however long it lasted it, I wouldn’t add to those bags.

I collected a charm along the way, that remains on one necklace still today and is now too heavy to wear, to remind me of those travels and the places I visited in that wonderful decade.

I remember when I left Cambodia after a longer stint, organising a giveaway at my house where I invited all my friends round to take what they wanted — on the premise that they or a friend or family member truly did need it. The rice cooker went first.

Accommodation

Whilst living in Croatia, I first moved into a rented place, where thanks to the lovely older couple upstairs, I had everything I needed there. I didn’t need to buy any plates or pots, and if I was missing something, Marija would duly provide it.
