It’s 4pm on a Sunday, and getting to the end of a day where I gave myself a day off. Well, except for writing this of course, due to the unwritten rules of the Split Infinitives.

That doesn’t mean that I haven’t thought about work though, because since running my own company, I’ve been a hamster on a wheel. I’d call myself an entrepreneur, the adopted French word meaning undertaker or initiator, but now used to represent someone who starts (mostly) new business projects, again and again and again.

The rabbit hole of marketing

Social media has turned into everyone’s personal marketing tool. We post photos showing our better selves, and sometimes make comments revealing another side that no-one knew before. Now imagine doubling, tripling or quadrupling that work, and adding even more profiles or marketing channels for each of your businesses or ideas.

The creativity can be there, but your juices only flow for so long, and whilst at times they gush like Iguazu, at others they’re like an overvisited waterhole in Tanzania.

Having a clear plan and strategy helps, words and actions most definitely focus the direction, nevertheless your mood has its own ideas. Sometimes you…
