I’ve never met a more useful DOC,
Than the one I had in NZ,
They’d show you the way, give you some warnings,
And make sure you didn’t end up dead.

Everyone talks about them, and their website too,
Both locals and foreigners alike.
They’re the key reason why, this beautiful place,
Is kept that way for us to hike.

But the DOC has a troupe, an awesome group,
Who are there day in day out.
They’ll chat about life, and give you advice,
Put rest to any of your doubt.

If you don’t know who DOC is, make sure you do.
Before you start your NZ endeavour.
The information they’ll share, and the things they provide,
Will ensure you have memories forever.

While I travel, I enjoy writing a bit of poetry, mostly silly stuff, but all to remember the fun I had.
